The Method

Never settle when it comes to your health

What to expect from my Vinyasa Yoga.

I was taught by the amazing Jodie Merrick and Feyza Deveci and I follow the method.

feel . flow . fierce . free

It took over 15 years of study, practice and teaching for the founder and my yoga mentor, Jodie Merrick to develop the fringe.method. The method uses the four elements as listed below as anchors for each practice, on a weekly rotation starting with Earth and moving up to Air. There is a strong focus on the “why” & “how” we can use the practice to enhance all areas of our life by unravelling the tension in our bodies & minds that limit our connections to our essence self.

Here’s what to expect from a fringe. flow class:

Earth – feel

Earth – This is the foundation for all yoga poses. Working specifically on strengthening and toning the feet, legs and bottom it also gives you the opportunity to come back to your roots, to ground, to simply be present here and now. The perfect foundation element and for those needing more balance in their lives.

Water – flow

Water – Releasing tension in the hips, finding fluidity in the flow, water is the ideal class for the Vinyasa lover and for athletes, cyclists and runners. It is all about letting go of anxiety and long held emotion and embracing change.

Fire – fierce

Fire – This element draws attention to the core, inner strength and power. We often hold ourselves back because we don’t believe we can achieve but this element ignites that fire in the belly. It encourages, inspires, breathes life into the body and energises the brain. Perfect if you want to strengthen your practice & core

Air – free

Air – As human beings we often give so much of our energy away to others that we don’t focus on self love and compassion for ourselves. The air flow allows the heart to open, the shoulders to relax and the tension to melt away out of the body. This allows for more space in the spine & clarity in the mind. Through backbends and shoulder releases this class creates more freedom, space, and love within your being.

I like to describe the fringe.method as a monthly MOT for the Mind, Body and Soul.

I love teaching beginners yoga.

In terms of my own practice, I had spinal fusion 20 years ago, so there are certain poses that I have to modify, and others that will never be for me! But that’s the beauty of yoga! All bodies are different and unique and this is how I approach my teaching.

Please join me and together we can move our bodies, quieten our minds and embrace your body’s uniqueness.

allowing blood flow to the brain helps to calm the nervous system and re=energise tired legs.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Registered Nutritional Therapists consider each individual to be unique. My mission is to provide personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I use evidence based research aimed at supporting your health and wellbeing. Together we will devise your Personalised Nutrition Plan that incorporates your lifestyle and wellness goals.

As a Registered Nutritional Therapist, I am able to work with clients who have Chronic health conditions. Using a Functional Medicine (FM) Model and the power of nutrition, I am trained to utilise “Food as Medicine”, to support your return to health.
